How I’m Building Wealth From $0 — My Simple Strategy

💬 Introduction

When you don’t come from money, building wealth can feel impossible. I know the feeling — I started at $0, juggling two jobs, trying to save and invest while still paying bills.

But here’s the truth: you don’t need to be rich to start building wealth. You need a plan.

This post breaks down the exact steps I’m taking — real moves, no fluff — to grow my money and build freedom over time.

🧮 Step 1: I Tracked Every Dollar

Before anything else, I had to understand where my money was going. I started tracking:

  • Every paycheck
  • Every bill
  • Every random $6 coffee or $10 fast food run

Tool I used: Notion + Excel
(I’m working on a free budget tracker template — coming soon!)

This helped me build a realistic budget and cut down on things I didn’t need.

💸 Step 2: I Invested What I Could

Even with limited income, I started investing small amounts. I opened a Robinhood account and put $50/month into ETFs.

What I bought:

  • SCHD (dividend income)
  • VOO (broad S&P 500 exposure)
  • QQQ (tech growth)
  • JEPI (income-focused ETF)

It wasn’t about timing the market. It was about getting in and staying consistent.

🔥 Step 3: I Found Ways to Earn More

Budgeting only goes so far. So I looked at ways to increase my income.

  • I kept my full-time jobs
  • I launched The Rich Guy Math blog
  • I’m building a system that will generate online income over time

This blog is my blueprint — for myself and for you.

📈 Step 4: I Stay Consistent

Wealth isn’t built overnight. I stick to the plan:

  • Automatic investments every month
  • I read books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, Atomic Habits, and The Psychology of Money
  • I avoid hype and focus on long-term habits

💭 Final Thoughts

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too broke to start building wealth — I’m living proof that’s not true.

You don’t need a six-figure salary. You need a system, discipline, and a vision.

And now you’ve got The Rich Guy Math to help.
